  • Active Directory
Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), formerly known as Active Directory Domain Services, is the central location for configuration information, authentication requests, and information about all of the objects that are stored within your forest. Using Active Directory, you can efficiently manage users, computers, groups, printers, applications, and other directory-enabled objects from one secure, centralized location.
TrainingCloudVM is the active Directory Server in training.lab domain. Domain is set up and configured as a domain controller. Following table is the detail:
• Domain Name: Training.lab
• DHCP: Disabled
• DNS: 192.168.1.1
• Subnet: 192.168.1.1/24
  • System Center Virtual Machine Manager
System Center 2012 Virtual Machine Manager provides virtual machine management capbility and services deployment with supporting for multi-hypervisor environments that can help you deliver a flexible and cost effective Private Cloud environment.
System Center Virtual Manager Server 2012 CTP1 is main infrastructure product. It supports Windows Server 2012 OS and its hypervisor. According to the requirements, some new features were used like Replica, SMB share for the data backup and restore.
Detailed configurations as follow:
• VMM Server OS: Windows Server 2012 (TrainingVMM)
• SQL Server: Windows Server 2008 R2 (TrainingSQL)
• VMM Version: SCVMM 2012 CTP1
• Library Server: TrainingVMM
  • System Center Operations Manager
System Center 2012 Operations Manager provides deep application diagnostics and infrastructure monitoring that can help you ensure the predictable performance and availability of vital applications and offers a comprehensive view of your datacenter, private cloud, and public clouds.
In this solution, the SCOM is used for listening to the training.lab VMs and hosts. It can monitor the latest status of services, VMs and hosts.
Details Configuration as follow:
• OM Server OS: Windows Server 2008 R2 (TrainingOM)
• SQL Server: Windows Server 2008 R2 (TrainingSQL)
• OM Version: SCOM 2012 RTM
  • AppController
System Center 2012 App Controller provides a common self-service experience across private and public clouds that can help you empower application owners to easily build, configure, deploy, and manage new services.
App Controller needs to work with VMM server in the training.lab domain. And also it should be accessible for your corpnet. The VM “TrainingAppCtrl” is configured with 2 vNICs to implement 2 points. One for external connection, the other one is for Training.lab domain connection.
Details Configuration as follow:
• App Controller OS: Windows Server 2008 R2 (TrainingOM)
• SQL Server: Windows Server 2008 R2 (TrainingSQL)
• App Controller Version: System Center 2012 App Controller RTM
